Description: |
This course builds on the facts and information about HIV and AIDS presented in the first module entitled, Understanding HIV and AIDS. In this course, registrants will explore the issues involved in living day-to-day with HIV or AIDS, the impact that the illness has on relationships, work, families, couples, health, spirituality, and the therapeutic relationship. Therapeutic interventions and strategies in working with HIV-infected clients are examined. In addition to providing information, the course provides brief stories and testimonials from HIV-positive individuals as well as case vignettes to apply theory to practice.
Two Modules
This course is broken into two modules, which may be taken together or separately. If registrants complete both modules, they will earn a total of seven (7) CEUs. These seven continuing education units (CEUs) meet the California State Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) one-time (first license) renewal requirement for obtaining seven (7) hours of course content in HIV/AIDS.
Module 1: Understanding HIV/AIDS 3.5 CEUs
Module 2: Living with HIV/AIDS 3.5 CEUs
