Description: |
Incest is not simply an unfortunate event. In its various forms, it is part of the process of living. When social workers, and other therapists, more openly recognize how often forms of incest are encountered in clients and themselves, the psychosocial and cultural manifestations of incestuous feelings and relationships (whether or not consummated incest is involved) can be effectively addressed.
This online course is designed to increase readers knowledge and skill in recognizing the causes and consequences of incestuous father-daughter relationships, as well as the family and cultural context in which it occurs. Specific clinical interventions are reviewed and reference guide is included.
